Warranty and Returns Policy


Warranty

North Sea inflatable boats are backed by a 3 year warranty (For personal use) or 2 year warranty (For commercial use) from us.
The boat's hull, floor, hull attachments and accessories, but not limited to, floorboards, seats, rope holders, oar locks, oars, rope, air pump, lifting handles, D rings, valves, seat webbing, and transom integrity are covered by this limited warranty for 1 year from the date of delivery.

The repair, replacement of parts, or the performance of service under this warranty does not extend the life of this warranty to beyond its original expiration date.

Buying from us means never having to have to worry about the minor things.
We carry many extra parts in stock for your convenience. Customer service is our driving point and we want to make sure you are taken care of. Here at North Sea, your satisfaction is important to us.
This is why we have carefully thought out and implemented every design feature on our boats. Having the best product for our customers is what we do!

If there is any defect in the product upon delivery, North Sea is to be notified by the purchaser within 3 days otherwise the product will be deemed to have been delivered in good order and condition.

The warranty does not cover the followings:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Discoloration / Colour fading
  • Damage caused by neglect, lack of maintenance, accident
  • Improper use
  • Use of any other parts other then supplied by North Sea
  • Alteration to the vessel or removal of parts not done by an authorized North Sea service center or dealer
  • Improper protection against UV-Rays/cold weather
  • Repairs, modifications or tampering by someone other than an authorized North Sea service center
  • Damage from deterioration to fabric caused by fuel, harsh chemicals or solvents
  • Any seam separation due to heat exposure
  • The vessel has not been assembled, used, and maintained in accordance with owner’s manual
  • Damage as a result of shipping, warehousing, or storage
  • Any shipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser any units shipped for repair will be the responsibility of the purchaser. North Sea will then ship (if required) the repaired unit, or repaired parts or new part(s) to the purchaser at the responsibility of the purchaser
  • North Sea does not cover incidental or consequential costs for any reason what so ever
  • Time for cleaning units in preparation for repair
  • Any repairs resulting from poor service work or maintenance after delivery
  • High-pressure washing
  • Over size engine use
  • Overloading of capacity
  • All inflatables lose some air over time, this is normal and is not a warranty issue
  • Where the purchaser is in breach of any of our terms and conditions


Commercial Use

If any product purchased is used for rental or other commercial purposes by a corporation, partnership, company, organization or association including without limitation to camps, clubs, resorts, schools, or the like, then the term of this limited warranty is limited to a period of 120 days for parts and 2 years for boats from the date of delivery.

The warranty is not transferable.


Owner Responsibility

The owner/operator is responsible for safe operation and safety of its passengers. It is mandatory the owner/operator follows all provincial and federal requirements like licensing, safety requirements and safety gear required. We strongly recommended that the operator read and understand its entire manual before operating the boat. Be sure at least one additional person on board is instructed in the basics in case of an emergency and the operator is unable to operate the boat.


Returns

North Sea does at our discretion accept returns within 7 days of the receipt of product.
All returns are at our sole discretion and must be agreed to by us in advance of the return.

Please remember to open your box carefully so you don't damage your boat.

All returns to us are subject to 45% restocking fee.
All order cancellations are subject to 25% order cancellation fee.

All returns must be accompanied with a valid Return Authorisation Number on the shipping label.

We reserve the right to refuse any returns that:

  • Are incomplete or missing parts; or
  • Are not returned in their original packaging,
  • Show signs of physical damage to the product or its packaging.
  • Do not include a valid Return Authorisation Number on the shipping label.
  • Have an expired Return Authorisation Number.

All costs incurred in returning the product to us are purchaser’s responsibility. It is purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that all products are suitably packaged in order to prevent damage during return shipping. We accept no responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit. It is purchaser’s responsibility to insure them.

North Sea will at its sole and absolute discretion determine whether any warranty applies to any fault claimed in respect of the product and if we determine that the warranty applies we will at our sole and absolute discretion either:

  • Repair or replace the product and return the product to the purchaser at the purchaser’s expense freight pre-paid; or
  • Refund to the purchaser the purchase price upon return of the product. North Sea will not be responsible for any indirect or consequential loss of the purchaser and the warranty given extend only to the original purchaser.
